The Westerham Practice

Out Of Hours Emergencies

In case of emergency when the surgery is closed, telephone Westerham 564949. A tape-recorded message will give you the telephone number to contact the duty doctor. The duty doctor may be one of the partners or another local GP. You may be asked to attend the Out-Of-Hours Service based at a local Hospital if the doctor thinks it is necessary. Please always ring first.

You may also like to call NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or visit their website at www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk

Please remember that this is an emergency service, ie for problems that cannot wait until the surgery is next open.

In life-threatening emergencies such as severe bleeding, collapse, unconciousness or severe chest pains telephone 999 and then call the duty doctor.

Accident And Emergency

The casualty departments at Bromley Hospital and Kent and Sussex Hospital (Tunbridge Wells) are available 24 hours a day for the treatment of accidents such as broken bones, wounds etc. There are minor injuries departments at both Sevenoaks and Edenbridge Hospitals. Please telephone before attending to confirm they are open.

Access For The Disabled

No difficulty should be encountered by the disabled in using our surgery premises as there is easy access and assistance is always available if required.
A hearing loop is provided at both sites should you require it.

Suggestions And Complaints

Please do not hesitate to use the suggestion boxes in the surgeries if you have an idea which may help improve the services we offer. If you have a complaint please feel free to write to one of the partners or the practice manager or talk to them personally. Please do not complain to the receptionists - they have enough problems to cope with!

Parking

There is plenty of parking space at the Sundridge Surgery, but the car park at Westerham is often full because of its accessibility for the shops! Please try to avoid parking there any longer than your attendance at the surgery, as you may cause someone else to walk if the car park is full.
