Potentially Saved My Life
I had 2 drops of blood in my urine, upon going to the surgery I was seen by the doctor who decided to check all possible options and had me booked for a check of the bladder. Even when booking it, the system warned that it is not normal to recommend this due to my age. Thanks to the doctor being adamant she wanted the check done, we found very early bladder cancer which has been removed, I've been treated and I've now been given the best chances to live a full life. If it had just been put down to some form of UTI, the tumour would have grown and potentially escaped the bladder giving me a very low chance of survival.
