About Us

Welcome to the Westerham Practice

The Westerham Practice covers much of the North Downs area and includes many small villages. The practice is based at two main centres, Winterton Surgery just off Market Square in Westerham and The Medical Centre on the main road in Sundridge.

We are a dispensing practice and our Sundridge Surgery has a fully stocked dispensary and qualified dispenser. See our prescriptions page for more details.

Practice Information

Parking

There are disable parking bays at both The Westerham Practice and Sundridge Medical Centre. Parking is very limited at both sites and we ask for you to allow enough time to park at the practice or use the public parking available in the area.

Training Practice

The practice is accredited as a training practice and hosts GP registrars and Foundation Year 2 doctors. From time to time a doctor training in General Practice or hospital medicine will be attached to the practice. He or she will be a fully qualified doctor who will be at a stage in their career when they are gaining further experience and skills in General Practice. The practice is also involved in the training of medical students. In all of these circumstances, the doctor and students remain under the direct supervision of one of the partners. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated in helping us to train the next generation of General Practitioners.

Within the training experience at the practice, it is sometimes necessary for your consultation to be video recorded. You will always be asked for your consent before this takes place and you have the right to decline without prejudice to your care.

Protected Learning Training Days (PLT’s)

PLT training dates are set by the Kent and Medway ICB working with the Kent and Medway Primary Care Training Hub. PLT’s create an opportunity for healthcare professionals to learn about new clinical developments, get updates to guidance and best practice whilst sharing experience and knowledge with colleagues. During the closures NHS 111 is commissioned by Kent and Medway ICB to provide medical support for patients.
